Chinese Han Dynasty Sancai Glazed Stupa Form Tomb Sculpture, 206 BC-220 AD, with crown of flames and prayer beads, the shoulder having a ring of 9 Scholar figures (one missing), a lozenge shaped open port containing a figure of Confucius, lappet leaves below, reduced at bottom to a small open foot with stepped six-sided base, 32 1/2" tall, 16" diam. Old repairs, losses, encrustation.
