- Lot Description
A Classic Black Duck Working Decoy by Gus Wilson of South Portland, ME (1864-1950), ca. 1910-1915, having his typical molded wings, large inletted head, carved eyes and delicate bill, untouched original paint, 19" long. Some indentations, losses under tail. Wilson is among the most desirable of Maine decoy makers, having made his observations of waterfowl while working as a lighthouse keeper, stationed at Marshall Point and Portland Head.
