Mid-19th c. Fruitwood Wall Plaque, an expertly carved depiction of a bird and snake in mortal combat, impressed "Gueret Fres, Bard de la Madelaine, 5, Paris" (leading Parisian cabinet maker founded in 1853), also with affixed paper label, 22" high, 12" x 3 1/2". A few small edge chips.
