French Empire Period Patinated Bronze Figural Mantel Clock, signed 'Galle, Rue Vivienne a Paris', early 19th c., 8-day time and strike movement, topped with figure of Venus Aphrodite on shell chariot, decorated with King Neptune, dolphins, and other mythological figures, on marble base, with key, 13 3/4" high, 12 1/2" x 5 1/2". Small face enamel chips near winding holes; working condition unknown.
