George III Period English Sterling Silver Presentation Cup and Cover by John Wakelin & William Taylor, hallmarked for London 1776, with ornate repousse laurel leaf swag and rosettes surrounding the body, fluted decoration on body and lid, gadrooned base and lid rims, and acanthus leaf finial, gilt washed interior, engraved crest on lid with stag above banner with 'Qualis ab Incepto' (the same as from the beginning), '464' scratched on base, 13" high, 10" wide, 6" diam, 44.76 ozt. Dents to inner lip of lid, otherwise good condition.
