Late 19th c. English Sterling Silver Compote, by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, 1897, with elegant repousse floral and fluted decoration, cartouche engraved with Freeman family crest and motto, "Liber et Audax" (Free and Bold), set on a domed and repousse decorated foot, 6 1/8" high, 8 1/4" diam., 19.13 ozt. Good condition.
