- Lot Description
Grant of Heraldry to Greta Du Pont Barksdale Brown (1891-1965), eldest child of Ethel Du Pont and Hamilton M. Barksdale, married to Frank Donaldson Brown in 1916 (later President of GM). Granted in 1922, with signatures of the Keepers of the Royal Arms and the brass cased wax seals of King George V (but not signed by him). Rolled parchment, entirely in hand calligraphy, housed in the original presentation case (broken hinge) emblazoned with the King's monogram. 22" x 4" x 4" case. Minor foxing.
