Napoleonic Wars era model, circa 1800-1810, of a two-decker 74 Gun Ship of the Line, fully rigged, no sails, very detailed, including the stern decoration, the model is roughly 20" tall, 23" long, in a tempered glass case with mahogany base, 27 1/2" x 38 1/2" x 14 1/2". Very good condition. Includes photos of the dealer and shop when this was purchased in 1974, Karl F. Wede to David L. Toombs, President of the Lion Company, Inc., Yacht Builders at the foot of South Street, Stamford, Connecticut.
