Very Early Queen Anne Walnut Chair with shaped and carved stepped crest rail, vase form backsplat, waisted cyma curved stiles, period slip seat with later cut velvet upholstery, cabriole front legs connected by block and turned 'H' stretcher, ending in pad feet. Providence or Newport, RI, mid 18th c., 17 1/2" seat, 40" back, 20" x 20". Good condition, old iron braces underside of seat.
