- Lot Description
Fine Early Mahogany Tea Box having a flat top rectangular case with edge molding, enhanced with string inlay, retaining original post and bail handle, batwing escutcheon and ogee feet (all in brass). The interior with two removable cover tea boxes and four other compartments. Fourth quarter 18th c., 6 1/2" x 10 1/4" x 6 1/4". Old repaired shrinkage crack, small stain to lid.
