Late Qing Carved Camphorwood Desk, rosewood finish, circa 1890, having a back shelf with striking circular center holding two shelves, reticulated opposing dragons crest, the exterior of the drum relief carved in wind symbols, flanked by shaped bracket shelves having fully dimensional dragon stanchions, small drawer at bottom on each side. The writing surface has carved key border, the lower case with a reticulated arched center apron, flanked by sets of two drawers, the sides in heavy relief carving. The beautifully carved and figured legs are in the form of dragons, heads at top and curled tail as feet, fully scaled body. 30" to writing surface, 59 1/2" tall overall, 45" x 28 1/2". Good condition, small dents in writing surface.
