A Beautiful Young Mother Playing Organ with the Singing Angel Spirits of her two lost children, while gazing up into the firmament, oil on canvas laid to masonite, unsigned, ca. 1820. Note the glimpse of a wing between the nearest child and the organ pipes. Housed in a vintage lemon gold deep cover frame with scumbled edge, OS: 26 1/4" x 22 1/4", SS: 20 3/4" x 16 3/4". Cleaned and retouched.
