Fine Large Pair of Classical Revival Heavy Brass Andirons, having bold banded ball finials, left and right form with matching log stops and the original iron dogs. The pair retain their original patina, as removed from the Beacon Street Back Bay Boston Brownstone. Circa 1815-1835, attributed to the workshop of John Hunnyman of Boston, who apprenticed to Paul Revere. 15 1/2" tall, 8" wide, 26" deep. 4" finials. Cf. "The Brass Book" by Schiffer, pg. 81, plate E.
