- Lot Description
19th c. Blonde Cushion Top Tortoiseshell Tea Caddy, with silver escutcheon (no key) and cartouche (monogrammed 'JH'), silver plated ball top and ball feet, velvet lined lid, metal stringing between tortoiseshell panels, with two inner compartments with tortoiseshell veneered lids, traces of old lead foil lining, 6 1/2" high, 6 1/2" x 4 1/4". Tortoiseshell cracks on lid and sides, losses near left side base, silver plate loss to ball top and feet.
