- Lot Description
"Trolling", oil on canvas, signed lower left and dated 1852, depicting an adolescent boy and girl sailing a small boat on a broad river, he is attentive, she is demure, trailing a fishing line by hand, a small village with prominent church is on the distant bank. Label verso from Beacon Hill Fine Arts. Housed in the original gilt cove gesso frame, OS: 26" x 36", SS: 19 1/2" x 29 1/2". Cleaned and relined, some frame loss. Provenance: Ex-Donal C. O'Brien, Jr. Collection, via Keno Auctions.
