- Lot Description
"Fire Aboard Ship", oil on linen, signed lower right, circa 1925, titled and dated on Schoonover Studios of Wilmington, Delaware label verso, remnant of paper label with title "The Outcast" and artist's name, also marked "P8149" in charcoal on back. Depicts a lifeboat from a steamship rescuing sailors from a burning schooner named 'Venturesome'. In vintage ribbed Arts & Crafts gold frame, OS: 27" x 47", SS: 19 1/2" x 39 1/2". Good condition.
