- Lot Description
American Parlor Kaleidoscope made between 1873 and 1900. Turned wood pedestal with leather covered cardboard tube having brass end and brass ship's wheel turning dry cell containing fragments of Venetian glass. Two mirror system, five point mandala, magnifying end. Turned mahogany pedestal is 9 1/2" tall, scope is 10 1/4" long, 3 1/2" diam. Good, working condition, some wear to latter, loss at eyepiece, missing one ship's wheel handle.
