Monumental Three-Part 16th c. Altar Figure of the Buddha, signed on back of head, seated on an aubergine glazed lotus throne, holding a covered aquamarine jar, in flowing saffron robes with green cape and ornate jewelry, having an Imperial crown (missing flame). The three components are the head (with long solid neck stem), the body and the throne, comes with a molded wooden plate to receive the irregularly shaped throne. Roughly 24" x 14" x 10". Old repairs, losses to glaze.
