Wall Hanging in Silk Embroidered Linen with Polychrome Wool Appliques, a decorative tribal textile, this example probably made in Tajikistan or Uzbekistan, having a repeating pomegranate motif with leaf wreaths, smaller intermediate blossoms, all in pattern woven wool, attached to the linen by chainlock white or black embroidery. Backed by a later printed cotton, bound with woven ribbon edging, having hanging loop on one long side. Water stained, fold marks.
