Early 19th c. Russian Icon with 84-Silver Oklad, with oil on panel painting depicting St. Alexei Metropolitan of Moscow with gilt silver halo, Madonna and Child above his right shoulder, oklad dated 1837, assayer: Nikolay Dubrovin, Moscow, maker 'CK' (SK) Cyrillic mark in rectangular cartouche, 5" x 3 3/8". Crazing to painting, otherwise good condition.
