Louis XVI Carved and Gilded Wooden Barometer, circa 1780, topped with a carved floral spray with eagle and eaglet, torch, and laurel wreath below, having a painted oval dial centered with a compass rose and steel needle, labeled 'Barometre' and 'Selon Toricelly', surrounded by a painted and gilded frame, 29" high, 18 3/4" wide. Repaired top carving, dial shrinkage crack, missing glass.
