- Lot Description
Portuguese Colonial Era Bone Sculpture of the Madonna and Child, flanked by small angels, on an integral plinth, assembled from pieces, with bas relief patterning, 10" x 4 1/2" x 3 1/4". Good condition, missing portion of right arm, separations. Goa is a state in western India with coastlines stretching along the Arabian Sea, known for its well preserved 17th c. churches. It was governed by Portugal until 1961.
