- Lot Description
Quarto Printing in remnants of an 18th c. calf binding. Marked in colophon "Imprinted at London by Robert Barker, Printer to the Kings most Excellent Majestie: And by the Assignes of John Bill. Anno Dom. 1632". 508 pages. 9" x 12 1/2" x 2 1/2". Lacking frontis and title page, otherwise complete, contents very good, bright and fresh other than light foxing to first and last few pages, binding quite worn, boards off but present. This copy has genealogical record of the Robertson family at back, including Major-General G. D. Robertson, C.B., late of 59th Foot, died and buried in Edinburgh in 1842. A small pencil note states "Taken from the French 62nd Regiment at Bagriara in Calabria, in the year 1807".
