Collection of (16) English Flow Blue Ironstone China Serving Pieces in the Scinde Pattern by John & George Alcock, of Cobridge, Staffordshire, mid-19th c., all pieces marked 'Scinde' in blue and impressed 'Oriental Stone J & G Alcock', including: Large lidded soup tureen with ladle, 11" high, 8 1/8" x 15 1/4", hairline on lid, flake at tureen opening; (2) Large lidded tureens, one with underplate, tureen: 8 1/2" high, 9 7/8" x 13", underplate: 10 1/4" x 13", one tureen has a base edge chip and large firing flaw under rim edge, underplate has one rim glaze flake; Covered vegetable dish, 6 1/2" high, 8 1/2" x 10 3/4"; (3) platters, 12 3/8" x 16", 10 1/2" x 13 1/2", and 8 7/8" x 11", a few tiny rim glaze flakes; (2) Round serving bowls, 2 1/8" high, 10 1/4" diam.; (2) Octagonal serving bowls, 2" high, 7" x 9 3/8"; (1) Small octagonal bowl, 1 1/2" high, 6 1/8" x 8 1/2", one tiny rim flake; (2) Lidded sauce tureens with underplates, one with ladle, tureen: 6 1/4" high, 4 1/4" x 7 3/4", underplate: 5 7/8" x 7 1/4", one tureen has tiny glaze flake to top inside rim and small inside edge chip to lid, other tureen has hairline crack to interior near base; (1) Gravy boat, 6 1/4" high, 8" x 3 1/2", glaze flaking to rim near handle; and (1) Large jug, 8 3/4" high, 8 3/4" x 5".
