• Lot Description
  Cynthia Grieve, Baron Samedi, 2020, Mixed Media, 2.5" x 2.5" The Baron is the Vodou keeper of the dead. He is notorious for his outrageous behavior, swearing, playing jokes and drinking and he is rarely seen without a cigar in his mouth. Baron Samedi can usually be found at the crossroads between the worlds of dead and the living. When someone dies, he digs their grave and greets their soul after they have been buried, leading them to the underworld. He is presented here in howlite, beads, feathers, felt and brass with a Swarovski crystal as his cigar flame.
