1940s Queensland Photograph Album of Lorna Bygraves (Nee Miller)
13.5cm x 20.5cm (album size). 197 photographs, 1 postcard.
A personal photo album, entirely almost captioned, of a teenage girl, Lorna Bygraves (Nee Miller), a student of Ipswich Girls Grammar School, Queensland, in the 1940s.
Contained in a New Zealand themed album and with a commercial postcard on the first leaf, the rest of the album shows Queensland school photos, as well as holidays to the Gold Coast, and other family matters including various weddings. Earliest shots are 1939 in Katoomba, New South Wales, also of Ebor Falls near Grafton. Most photos are 1940s outings and holidays to Coolangatta, Fingal, Surfers Paradise, Redcliffe, and more. Numerous shots taken in front of automobiles. And of school inter-sports events.
Album is in Fine Condition. Most photos are Very Good to Fine.
