Sydney: Australian Workers' Union, 1920-1922.
48cm x 33cm. 3 volumes. Half leather.A run of 78 issues being Vol. 29, No. 26, July 1, 1920 - Vol. 30, No. 26, June 30, 1921, and Vol. 31, No. 1, Jan. 5, 1922 - Vol. 31, No. 26, June 28, 1922. A folio newspaper, bound in contemporary half pigskin over pebbled cloth boards, the backstrips with stamped dates, all issues bound in with original wrappers and illustrated (the most prominent artists being Will Donald and Mick Paul). A rare Australian political weekly, superceded the bi-weekly The Worker in July, 1913.
Leather rubbed, spine of 1921 volume chipped. A tear to the supper section of the first page of the first issue of the 1922 volume. Clean throughout. A very well preserved run in firm albeit worn contemporary bindings.
