Judy Mensch received her BFA from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA and her MFA from the Tyler School of Art in Rome, Temple University, Rome, Italy.
She has shown her prints throughout the US and abroad including the National Academy Museum, New York, NY, the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, India, the Hammond Museum, North Salem, NY, and ICPNY, New York, NY.
Her prints are in collections including the New York Public Library, the New York Historical Society, The Free Library of Philadelphia, the Library of Congress, Deutsches Haus at New York University, Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, and Pfizer Inc., New York, NY, among others.
She has taught printmaking workshops and classes at Marymount Manhattan College, The College of New Jersey, The Zimmerli Art Museum, Manhattan Graphics Center, and the Lower East Side Print Shop, New York, NY.
She was awarded fellowships to Vermont Studio Center, Johnson, VT, The Corporation of Yaddo, Saratoga Springs, NY, the Ucross Foundation, Ucross, WY, and Centrum voor Grafiek Frans Masereel, Kasterlee, Belgium. She was awarded grants from Art Quest, the Nagasawa Art Park Pilot Project, on Awajishima, Japan and Vermont Studio Center. She was also awarded a residency to Art Print Residence, Arenys de Munt, Barcelona, EU.
Her work was reviewed in the New York Times, as part of the Unfolding Visions exhibition at the Hammond Museum, North Salem, NY. Her work was reviewed in the newsletter of The Etching Society after giving a lecture to their members at the National Arts Club, and her work was also reviewed in the Rome Daily American, Rome, Italy. Her work is represented by The Old Print Shop, New York City.
