I come from Ecuador, a country where the flag consists of the primary colors and the land has four distinct regions rife with unique flora and fauna. The natural urge to create has been imprinted in my roots, in the deepest level of my skin and soul since I was born. The use of color and the making of art is the creation of earth, of life. Using the paint, the hands, the tangible, I create delightful sensations that travel through the eyes, for the soul: a sensation of the finest energy, one of feeling profoundly. I call my work an intuitive craft, because all I do is catharsis: pure, raw emotion. Every piece I make is unique, unreproducible, not even by me. Each piece is fed by the most transparent vulnerability and specific feeling, whether good or bad. My art reflects sensibility, contemplation, pure passion in a fixed moment in time.
Music is a massive part of the process, each piece reflects a series of songs that accentuate the emotions that then are portrayed via color and shapes.
Being human is a shared experience. To be able to portray the shared emotions of love, grief, joy, and pain is the ultimate goal. I like to wander in the language of color and in the hunger of my own imagination.
Life gives, life takes. The beautiful absurdity of situations, and the mere fact of just being here, now, drives me to make. To concentrate and freeze a moment in time since I am always feeling, I am always making, is my purpose.
To create is to be alive.
