Francine Tint's paintings are the result of a process of disclosure, drawn from her own life events, dreams, and readings. Influenced by the movements of color field and action painting, and painters such as Helen Frankenthaler and Larry Poons, Tint has developed an impressive body of work that has been lauded by critics and honored with prestigious awards and grants.
Working wet on wet, Tint paints in flustered, energetic, and assertive brushstrokes. Through short, sharp bursts of color, her art expresses a unique sense of contemporary life and personal experience.
