• Lot Description

  Resting Athlete by Ellen Lea Strier, Associate Artist Member, Eugene, Oregon

  Painting: Oil on canvas
  sight size: 12 x 12 inches (without frame)
  framed: 15.5 x 15.5 inches framed (no glass)

  Artist Bio: A lifelong artist since early childhood, Ellen has been fascinated by many different sectors of art. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., where she was captivated by the urban scene she was able to frequent the Metropolitan Museum and the great resources of N.Y. Her interest in figure manifested via fashion, and after a BFA moved into Graphic Design, Illustration and Calligraphy. A move to L.A. proffered the opportunity to do Architectural Rendering where she illustrated public spaces like malls, stores, hotels, and a BART station in San Francisco. Simultaneously she pursued painting in oil and watercolor, printmaking (primarily stone lithographs, wood engraving, and intaglio etching), and drawing (in graphite). Her work has been collected, she has won awards, and done special projects for the entities such as the Queensborough Public Library, M.I.T., and others.

Upon payment consent to release contact information to the artist and the shipper is implied. Shipping will be arranged by the Artist to be paid by the Buyer directly to the shipper.
