framed: 29.5 x 42.5I'm a sailor, and this artwork depicts one of my favorite anchorages on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Exhibits & Awards: Exhibited at the Salmagundi Club and Ridgewood Art Institute. Received a 2nd Place award at the Art Centre of New Jersey Annual Juried Exhibition.
Artist Bio: Mark Hunter is a contemporary realist painter who creates works in oil with the goal of achieving an illusion of three-dimensional depth, atmosphere, luminosity, and mood that represents nature. Mark wants the observer to feel they are inside his paintings, experiencing a sense of place, feeling the sun and spray on their face, the wind in their hair, the movement of the waves and the rustle of the leaves.
Mark's art training includes the Art Students League of NYC, the DuCret School of Art, and the Montclair Art Museum School of Art.
Mark Hunter's work has been exhibited at the Morris Museum, the Naples Museum of Art, the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport Museum, the Salmagundi Club, and has been featured in American Art Collector Magazine. - Shipping Info
