We start life as self-centered beings. As our world expands we open our eyes and connect to those around us. During the pandemic our world shrank and we were not just physically but emotionally isolated from each other. In "The Crystal Gazer" the model's face is covered, wine glass in hand like a crystal ball, self-conscious blindness representing a willful rejection of reality; how some amongst us can remain comfortably blind. During the lockdown we were in a period in which the lucky continued to work from home and receive a paycheck. The unlucky lost their jobs, were hungry, and afraid of losing their homes. These people were not just out of sight but are completely out of mind. People were missing from our lives and their suffering was unreal to some.Please read the Terms & Conditions and Shipping prior to your transaction.

Payment in full is required prior to shipment. Shipping will occur at the conclusion of the Exhibition, on November 19 2022. Upon payment consent to release contact information to the AAPL Exhibit Administrator and the shipper is implied. All artwork must be packaged for transport by a shipping agent and will incur a $100 handling fee. Shipping will be arranged by the AAPL Exhibit Administrator to be paid by the Buyer directly to the shipper. The Buyer will be directly responsible for customs and additional fees involved with International shipping. Email the AAPL for questions/alternatives/discussion (americanartistsproleague@gmail.com) or if the artwork will be picked up in person at the Salmagundi Club on Saturday 19 November.
