  Artist Bio: Jennifer Dettmer is a professional watercolor artist from Osage Beach, Missouri, who loves to explore many facets of painting, in both style and topic. She often can be found looking for inspiration in corners and down alleys, seeking the beautiful and interesting things that life has casually kicked to the side. Her work is a study of the intricacies of texture, drawing the eye to variations and juxtapositions. Her brushwork emphasizes the movement of pigment through water and how that fluidity can remain visible while recreating the image she wants to commit to paper. While her work trends toward realism, she invites a closer inspection so that the personality of the paint can create its own story.
