framed: 20 x 24 inchesA view from a trail along a thawing river, this is my portrait of several neighborhood deer who were taking advantage of a thin sliver of winter sun shining on the opposite riverbank.
Artist Bio: Katrina Lubbecke's paintings express her love of wildlife, wilderness landscapes, and historic architecture. She uses a limited palette of acrylic paints to portray her subjects in a realistic manner. Her paintings seek to preserve moments in time and enhance the interaction between the viewer and the landscape. She has been drawing and painting from an early age and considers herself a student of nature, having grown up in a ranching family and spending most of her life outdoors under vast Eastern Oregon skies. Her outdoor experiences have given her a great love for the drama and moods of the landscape and beauty of creation. Having made a lifelong study of historic journals that describe places and wildlife that have changed or vanished during the course of time, she feels it is important to capture the ambiance of places of solitude, the ever changing personalities of wildlife, or accurately recreate a historic scene in such a way that the scene feels relevant to the viewer.

Payment in full is required prior to shipment. Domestic shipping occurs normally within 10 days of full payment receipt. Upon payment consent to release contact information to the artist and the shipper is implied. Shipping will be arranged by the Artist to be paid by the Buyer directly to the shipper.
