- Lot Description
A Japanese Haniwa pottery figure of a man, dating from the 5th-6th centuries, this terracotta clay figure has elongated body and very small, wide tapered legs. The figure wears a belt with a weapon hanging in the front and a beaded necklace and traditional hat. Both arms are intact, with the left lifted in front of the figure with bent elbow.
