TITLE: The Seven Seas Edition of The Works of Rudyard Kipling, Doubleday, 1914-1926, 27 volumes
DESCRIPTION: Up for auction is a rare signed, 27-volume limited edition of Rudyard Kipling's written works in the Seven Seas Edition. This set of books was published by Doubleday between 1914 and 1926 when the final two volumes were published. Only 1,050 of this signed edition were produced. This is edition number 442. Titles included with this set are The Jungle Book, Just So Stories, Kim, The Second Jungle Book, Soldiers Three and Other Stories, Letters of Travel, From Sea to Sea, The Five Nations and the Seven Seas, etc. Kipling won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1907.The books range from good to very good condition with wear, toning, and chipping to the board edges and corners, see photos. There is some boxing to the front and back exterior boards, see photos. The bindings are tight. The front boards of volumes 4 and 17 have started to separate from the binding. There are no internal markings, other than Kipling's signature. No previous owner's bookplate or markings. The books will be carefully packaged and shipped in a box USPS Media Mail.Condition
