DESCRIPTION: Up for auction is a signed limited edition book by Northwest Mystic artist Mark Tobey entitled The World of a Market published by the University of Washington Press in 1964. The book features Tobey's paintings and drawings of Seattle's Pike Place Market. This is one of only 100 signed copies produced by the U of W press. This is copy number 71.The book is in very good condition with toning to the spine, wear to the front and back boards, and wear to the board edges, see photos. The interior of the book is bright and clean. There are no internal markings, other than Mark Tobey's signature. There are no previous owner's bookplates or markings. The slipcase is in fair condition with splitting at the joints, wear across the front and back boards, and a replaced bottom board edge, see photos. The book will be carefully packaged and shipped in a box via USPS Media Mail.Condition
