TITLE: Frank Gifford
MEDIUM: Nineteen-color Lithograph on d’Arches paper. The lithographs were pulled at Atelier Ettinger in New York in 1983. Each print has the embossed seal of Atelier Ettinger.
OVERALL SIZE: 36" x 27"
DESCRIPTION: This lithograph is a part of a series featuring six of the greatest athletes of the 20th Century. Each lithograph is pencil signed by Peak and an accompanying sports figure. The sports figures include: New York Yankees Baseball legend Joe DiMaggio, NBA basketball Hall of Fame legend Wilt Chamberlain, PGA golfing great Jack Nicklaus, Brazilian soccer star Pele, tennis legend Chris Evert, and New York Giants football great Frank Gifford. This sale is for the limited edition signed by Nicklaus (Columbus, Ohio, b. 1940) and Peak. Nicknamed The Golden Bear, Nicklaus is considered the greatest golfer after winning 117 tournaments and 18 majors. This numbered edition is limited to 300 copies. This print comes from set number 171. This set was issued to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Special Olympics. Each print comes with a separate sheet that has a quote from the athlete and a description of the print image by Peak.The print is in fine condition with no visible flaws, see photos. Each sheet measures approximately 36 X 27 inches. The print and separate sheet will be mailed in a sturdy cardboard tube. Combined shipping for multiple purchases.Condition
