OVERALL SIZE: Unframed, matt size, 20" x 16", image size, 9 1/4" x 7 7/8"
DESCRIPTION: Up for auction is an pencil signed and titled etching by American artist Ernest Melchert entitled Gloucester. The sketch presents an impressionist etching of the Gloucester shipping docks. This is a beautiful piece from a well known, but underappreciated American artist.The etching is in near fine condition with minor toning, see photos. In the upper two corners and lower two corners of the paper there are old tape marks. This residue does not impact the image and are covered up with the works matting, see photos. The work is paper matted, but unframed. The print will be carefully packaged in a box.Condition
