DESCRIPTION: Up for auction is a rare signed, limited edition of Alex Haley's groundbreaking work Roots: The Saga of an American Family. The book was published by Doubleday in 1976. Only 500 of the leather-bound limited edition books were produced. This is copy number 266. The book was adapted into a television miniseries in 1977 and aired to a record-breaking 130 million viewers.The book is in fine condition with minor wear at the board edges, see photos. The slipcase is in near fine condition with shelf wear and a small split at the front right edge, see photos. The book will be carefully packaged and shipped in a box USPS Media Mail.Condition
