Artwork Description: Two original drawings depicting the original choreography of CHAOS MASS. CHAOS MASS is an event of relentless momentum, featuring a 22-foot I-Beam and two, 160 pound concrete filled metal pipes that are typically used to support building structures but have since been retrofitted to withstand the force and friction imposed by STREB’s Action Heroes. The irascible and dangerous equipment twists, swings, and staggers, cutting through the space as the dancers dodge, duck, and defy the blunt force and razor edge.
Artist Biography: Elizabeth Streb, has dived through glass, walked down London's City Hall, dumped a ton of dirt on her head, and set herself on fire, among many other feats of extreme action.
