- Lot Description
Fitted with a pair of frieze drawers above grille-inset doors. 57 1/2 x 35 3/4 x 13 in. Note: This pair of Regency Mahogany Chiffonniers were part of the collection of Colonel David Lloyd-Lowles in the early 20th century when he and his companion Leslie French lived at Leith Grove in Hedgerley Green, Slough, Buckinghamshire. Leith Grove was built in 1580 to serve as a gamekeeper's cottage on the Hedgerley Park estate. The brick construction reflected the area brickmaking industry which purportedly dated back to medieval times. Leith Grove was the only remaining structure on the estate after the mansion was demolished in 1930.
