- Lot Description
Two etchings in black on wove paper, 1930 and 1949, both signed in pencil, Buste numbered 1/30, Petit Nu Étendu inscribed '2 etat' (the edition was 20); and Comme Il Vous Plaira No. 1 (Cauchemar ou Rêve), etching in black on wove paper, 1946, signed in pencil, unnumbered (from the edition of unknown size).
2 1/8 x 3 3/4 in. (plate), 10 x 13 in. (sheet), 9 3/8 x 11 in. (plate), 15 1/8 x 11 1/8 in. (sheet), 7 x 9 3/8 in. (plate), 9 7/8 x 12 3/4 in. (sheet), all unframed.
Literature: Ginestet and Pouillon E 384, E 495, and E 518.
Note: Comme Il Vous Plaira No. 1 (Cauchemar ou Rêve) an edition was printed in 1946 with a few proofs. Another edition was printed in 1950 including the signature and date in the plate, the edition was 20 or 25.
Condition
All with margins. Petit Nu Étendu and Buste with some pale staining. Petit Nu Étendu with foxing. Buste with a diagonal crease at center and other small creases along the sheet edges. Otherwise all in good condition.
Notwithstanding this report or any discussion concerning condition of a lot, all lots are offered and sold "as is" in accordance with our conditions of sale.
