  Oil on canvas, signed 'E.H. May' lower right, inscribed 'Sir John Read Bart of Brockett Hall, the Last of that Branch born 1689 died at Rome 1711. The original in possession of Sir Henry Dashwood Bart' in another hand on the reverse. 29 x 23 1/4 in., 41 1/4 x 35 1/2 x 3 3/4 in. (frame).
