- Lot Description
Bronze, with the Roman Bronze Works NY Foundry mark and inscribed '#A17'. 29 1/2 x 16 in. Note: The Roman Bronze Works Foundry Papers at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art have a reference to this work, #A17, ordered on May 17, 1929 and shipped to Tiffany & Co., NY who sold Vonnoh bronzes. However, later castings of this work exist. The date of this casting is unknown, as is its provenance.
