Limited edition out of artist’s print: 1 of 10 available on BidsquareIgor Ishchuk is a documentary photographer from Odesa, Ukraine. Before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops in his work he researched the subject of social inequality, parallel society and the consequences of the urbanization of city outskirts. At this time Igor is covering stories of the war in Ukraine.
Description: "I watched this scene in a daze. The children were spending time together near the ruins of their school, which had been hit with a precision missile by Russian troops. They told me that from the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops, the school had served as a volunteer center where they received and distributed humanitarian aid and cooked food for those in need. A girl who looked about 12 years old told me with complete certainty that someone in the neighborhood had given the coordinates of the school to the Russian troops since no Ukrainian military or equipment had been observed on the school grounds at the time."
