  A Rare Islamic Ottoman Silk and Metal-Thread External Curtain Cover For The Holy Kaba, Turkey circa 1900. With the Tughra of Sultan 'Abd al-Aziz (1861-76) The black silk ground embroidered with silver and gilt-metal threads with a central double-column with stylized hanging mosque lamps above bands of calligraphic inscriptions, the tughra applied on a red silk ground within a wreath with floral fronds on each side, bordered by calligraphic cartouches and roundels 104" high x 67" wide Good condition. Ready to place. Normal wear consistent with age and use.
