  A fine Louis XVI French Ormolu, Marble, and Sevres Style Porcelain "Marie Antoinette" clock, Circa 1870. The Dial is Signed: Houdebine A Paris A stunning French ormolu and Sèvres style porcelain clock, after the original clock in Marie-Antoinette's apartment in the Palace of Versailles. Venus is beautifully depicted leaning on a classical column, two entwined hearts in her left hand. The column is of French porcelain in the Sèvres style. To the right of the column, a most charming allegory of loyalty, a young putto playing with a small dog. Measures: 14" high x 10" wide x 6" deep Very good condition, no damages or repairs. Lacking key. We cannot guarantee the time-keeping of clocks since they are antique. But a local clock repair shop should be able to have it running.
