Alfano Dardari (Italian, 1924-1988) "Surrealist Clowns Painting"
A fantastic 1950's Italian oil on canvas painting depicting colorful clowns gathering together after the stock market crash. All the clowns have lost their minds since the crash. Oil and petroleum has crashed, currency has crashed. Everything has crashed in this fun painting. Very detailed and vibrant colors.
One of a kind piece. This is the largest painting the artist has made.

Alfano Alfredo Dardari was a surrealistic painter born in Meldola, Italy. He received the Golden Brush Award in 1979. A surrealistic painter, he painted Trompe-l‰ЫЄЃТil , ‰Ычto fool the eye‰ЫЄ, paintings. This involved using extremely realistic imagery to create objects that appeared to be three-dimensional although they were on a two dimensional surface. His paintings have been described as ‰ЫПmetaphysical hyper-realism.‰Ыќ Dardari‰ЫЄs paintings tend to consist mainly of still-life depictions containing roses and orchids, cigarettes and wooden matchsticks, which appear to have just been put out with smoke rising from them.
Good condition. Minor in-painting from "Bill The Pioneer statue".
